Now that the Wii-U has been released...

Post by BlackDS »

...I guess it's finally time for me to buy a wii! I'm starting to find some pretty good deals on used wiis now, around 70 dollars. I have wanted Gamecube component cables for the longest time, but now I could just buy a wii with component for cheaper. It pays to always be a generation behind the times, I guess. While I really want to play pikmin 3, it isn't worth spending $410 dollars on (black system + game).

Look for the ones with gamecube compatability.

None of the ones that came out this year have reverse compatabilty.

If the wii logo is parallel with the disc drive then you have the new version.

Also theres no gamecube controler ports.

So this limits certain games that can use GC controlers.

Id say get the earlier console version.

I'm personally waiting on the Wii U's price to drop, seeing as it is backwards compatible. That's honestly the only reason I don't own a Wii yet.
