I don't know where I read it, but someone said that it was more meaningful for a console launch when we were younger, read about a release date and saving up whatever little money we could put together for that special day. I couldn't agree more.

I generally don't, but I though the Neo Geo X pre-order bonus was pretty cool. Plus, like all Neo Geo stuff, I have a suspicion the console could become scarce in the future.

But I generally wait for a major price drop. I waited about 5 years before purchasing a Xbox 360 or PS3.

The Wii was one of the few I actually got at launch, midnight release. Waited out in the cold and everything.

Yeah I'm not doing that again.

So today I learned that one of the pawn shops around here actually actively hides whatever retro stuff they manage to get whenever they see the local price gouging reseller guy walk up.

I dunno if I made the right choice. :?
You probably made the right choice. If the Wii U price drops as fast and as much as the Wii in a year or two you will be able to pick one up for 200-250 dollars.

The last place I'd expect a STEALTH element is in an FPS.

RAINBOW SIX 3 -- now featuring SPLINTER CELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't shoot anything for half the mission and gotta stay crouched and sneak around......

FPS don't mean First Person Stealth y'all

This man shares my frustrations (go to 2:40 for the real fun)

its kinda sad/funny that these first run wii U games are about $60 bucks and in a few years they're gonna be super cheap.

happens all the time with new consoles. The first run PS2/GC games are the ones that are $2.99 or less at gamestop.

I can totally see Zombie U, Epic mickey 2, Tekken tag 2 and Rayman Legends for $5.99 in 2016

Buy then the late to the bandwagon or some of us retrogamers will finally have the Wii U and we will buy these games cause 'they're cheap enough'

By then, these games will just be in a paper sleeve. :(

damn.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 are still $20 and $40, respectively.

Neither were launch titles. I'd wager every single Wii launch game is worth >$5.

Twilight Princess goes for 20 new, pretty sure it goes for more than 5 used.
