Seriously, you have a great collection. It also helps you have the best username on the site. Henry is my favorite striker of all time!

Some folks here reckon that is my name.
But yeah, Thierry was an awesome player. One of the best I've seen. In his days in the EPL he took all the work out for our Fantasy Football Team. :P Nailed-on captain every time.

Back on topic,
so working my way through the early Sega systems,
I now have the Mark III as well. I actually got this from a UK seller who was clearing out most of his collection of retro consoles and games.

This one is not boxed but is in pretty good condition, and did come with a few games.

Now, one thing that was quite a nice surprise (the seller actually did kinda mention that he might "throw in maybe a small extra, or two"),

An empty Mark III shell and a converter,

Image

And a boxed PAL Master System game.
Now for many folks this might not be a big deal, but for me I had never previously seen this type Master System cartridge before. Not the usual shape of cart that I was used to.
And the fact that the game came complete (even has a mini poster), well I was quite chuffed about that.
Certainly not a "small extra, or two" in my eyes. :D

And a Japanese Sega Master System.

Basically got the system for this,
Yamaha YM2413 FM sound chip

Image

BTW, notice the controller in the first pic that came with the system.
Mega Drive 'Pioneer LaserActive' branded controller with a Master System? I'm not complaining. lol

One other thing I got was a converter to play Master System and Mark III games on the Genesis.

Nice feature that yellow button acting as a 'pause' button for the games.

Clone Genesis/Mega Drive console.

Got it for the equivalent of $5, complete in box.

Has a bunch of built-in games and works with pretty much any Genesis cartridge game you throw at it, works also with an adapter to play Master System games. Haven't tested it yet with the 32X.

Original Genesis/Mega Drive controllers also work fine with it.

Drawbacks? There are many. lol
This is not in the tradition of great clones of the past like the Megavison, Aito, Scorpion, etc.
It has sound to die for. Literally. If you know what I mean.

The seller tossed in an LA controller, or was that yours from before?

Seriously man, that's some awesome 8-bit Sega stuff there. That converter is sweet. I mean, it looks stupid, but it's still sweet.

He didn't toss it in, it was simply just included with the system. lol
No master system controllers at all. Just that particular Genesis controller.

Thanks. :)
And yeah, that converter does look kinda odd. Odd but sweet. I'll take that combination. :P

Just an update regarding my TG16/PC Engine stuff,

A couple of Briefcase units.

Image

PC Engine DUO, including a wireless controller.
In the middle of the picture is a Pioneer Laseractive branded controller.

Image

CoreGrafx and CoreGrafx II consoles, with a few controllers.

Image

PC Engine Shuttle with memory module.

Image

PC Engine DUO-R.
That six button controller actually originally came packaged with the DUO-RX console.

Image

SuperGrafx system with RAU 30 adapter for connecting the console to the IFU-30 CD-ROM interface tray.

Also a couple of SuperGrafx specific games.

Image

Image

A couple of Super CD-ROM2 systems.

Image

This Super CD-ROM2 system is modified for RGB.
That small power jumper cable to the fore of the pic is custom made for connecting the SuperGrafx to the CD unit. With that cable fitted, you only need one power supply to run the whole thing.
I have two of these small cables. One is already connected to the units.

Image

Modified extension cable to allow TG16 controllers/accessories to work with PC Engine related systems.

Image

Image

Turbo Express

Image

The various controllers.

TG16 and PC Engine Turbo Stick's

Holy crap, man. You've been going balls out.

Why did you feel the need to buy doubles of some consoles? Also, is that all the games you have? You seem to be hardcore about getting all the consoles you can, but not really getting many games. There are a ton of great PC Engine games out there for you to discover. :)

Oh, and I'm jealous that you have PC-FX Zenki. I just can't justify dropping the cash for that one. Chip-chan Kick and Zeroigar... doable. Zenki? I just can't justify it...

Some of the consoles were at what I considered a very tempting price. So I jumped on the deal. :)

regarding the games,
it's pitiful, isn't it? :P
I wish I could somehow convert all the Wii Virtual Console games I've downloaded into physical copies. That would bulk things up a bit. :P

$188. Exactly.
That's what I paid for it. Yeah that's still a lot to fork out but it goes for much more than that.
I thought it was well worth it at that price. :)

$188 is cheap for Zenki. I usually see it anywhere from $250-350 (usually the higher end). Nice deal!
