Game Sack - Double Dragon

Sunday night means I'm checking for the new Game Sack episode... and wow. Great fucking episode you guys! You really put a lot of effort into getting into all the numerous (and daunting) ports.

I'm a fan of the series, but an even bigger fan of the related Kunio-kun series. So...

Some thoughts:

Double Dragon - I can't believe how bad the Genesis version looks! I'm glad you showed off the excellent GBA port. I knew about the 7800 version but... there was a 2600 version?!? Wow. Crazy.

Double Dragon II - I never knew about the TGCD version but it looks borderline amazing!

Double Dragon III - can die in a fire. I was unfortunate enough to play the GB version.

OTHER:

I had no idea about the two fighting games.

Neon looks really nice. I don't know why I've put it off so far. I'm a big fan of the series as I've said, I love Way Forward and I love Jake Kaufman's music...

OH and I wish you discussed Abobo's Big Adventure. I know it's not an official DD game. But dammit, it was so much fun.

...so any chance you'll do a Kunio-kun episode guys? It would have to be like an hour. Or in pieces. But man what a huge/awesome history of games.

is Bimmy in it? I always assumed Way Forward would be smart enough to do that.

What are the games in that series? River City Ransom for NES and PC Engine CD. Double Dragon 2 GameBoy. What else?

Wow I just looked it up on Wikipedia and most of the games I can't even pronounce. I just realized that I do have Hot Blooded Soccer or something like that on the PC Engine CD, though. I acquired it in a bundle with something else.

yeah there's lots of them, but you could even just do an episode on ones that came to the US.

There's a hockey and basketball game that were Famicom-only with the same characters. The hoops game is pretty crazy (triple hoops vertically stacked). There are some english translation roms out there which is cool.

Bimmy makes a cameo, I don't want to spoil how though.

Also I implore any Double Dragon fan to check out DD Advance, it's probably the best entry in the series.
