Not too fond of sweets either, but I have a weakness for White Chocolate and particularly the Kit Kat ones..

I picked up a couple of fruit pies at Wal-Mart to do a taste test and write about, but after reading the "nutritional" information, I'm having second thoughts. These things are the first snacks that actually seem like they've gotten bigger than they used to be.

I will miss Orange Cupcakes. I used to walk down to our 7 day store on base when I wanted one of these delicious pastries.

I just realized, I only have a limited time to kill any civil rights leaders and still get away with the Twinkie defense!. Gotta act fast!

I'm sure more scandalous stuff will come around.
But you know there's greed involved in this whole situation.

Re: NO MORE TWINKIES? WTF!!!!!
Yeah. In contract negotiations like this, both sides would be represented by very capable counsel, and I think the union saw the writing on the wall here. It sounds to me like Hostess was going down no matter what. If the union had renogiated its contracts, then it would likely would have received much less when the company inevitably failed. (Otherwise, I do not think that the union would have allowed its strike to continue once the company financial position was known to it.)
It does make me wonder, however, if the strike - by forcing the company into bankruptcy - allowed the union to collect more on Hostess's obligations to it. That is - by forcing the company into receivership - the union prevented the executives from seizing the company's assets for themselves or distributing them to other creditors.
