I can be honest with the fact that we pick and choose what's worth protecting (people, kitties) and what's not (cows, salmon). Why can't you?
I don't think it's okay to slaughter animals for meat by any degree, I just find your sentiments on it exceedingly disturbing and greedy, otherwise I wouldn't have commented.

I'm not sure where the "again" part comes from, I've never opposed you on this before. I'm perfectly honest with what I pick to protect, and I contribute to that cause on a daily basis.

Smile: My post in the red head thread made you aggravated enough to lock it to spite me. Har.

Those list threads get on a lot of people's nerves and muck up searching the forums to boot. It deserved to be locked.

I really don't see the objection to force feeding an animal we're planning on slaughtering anyway. I see animal cruelty as something like being mean to kitties. Food animals are no better than crops in my eyes.
You are correct.

There are things that must be done to farm animals for the few to be able to feed the many. It is just the way of things.
Anybody else wanna be on my ignore list?...

Yeah, if you don't eat meat at all then obviously you're not going to like it. But I'm not discussing the morality of eating meat. If we start from "meat is ok", then I don't see how foie gras is somehow evil. If you're starting from "eating meat is bad" then we're never going to have a meeting of minds.

The "again" was towards the general point. But now I see that your objection is not on "this particular thing is cruel" but rather is "meat is cruel".

Was going to lock it anyway. You just gave me an excuse to be snarky about it.

It always amuses me when someone decides to ignore someone else for holding different views.

 My Pioneer AV receiver took a dump on me tonight. The digital power supply went out on it. It is possible it can be fixed, but I really don't know what to fix on it. So I will likely be shelling out another 300-400 tomorrow to replace it.

Oh and it has a 1 year warranty and I bought it 1 year and 9 days ago...

Just tasted some. I didn't expect to like it but, I have to say, it's not half bad. It actually tastes like paté... :)

It's a simple paté, but a good starting point. Maybe next time I'll add some raisins, or apple, or mushrooms. Or use chicken livers. Or different herbs...

Hmm, curry paté...

Ever heard of hunting? And there's also free range animal farms. Before you say it: I'm sure many people use the latter a way to gain more profits, while blatantly lying to consumers and still treating animals in a bad manner.
