No foie gras for me thank you...

I won't deny it. I like a good piece of meat. And I am aware of the fact that those animals are not always kept in the best conditions. But this... It's plain and simple torture. For our pleasure. I don't need that. And neither should you...

Thanks for the recipe and the freezing tip...

I really don't see the objection to force feeding an animal we're planning on slaughtering anyway. I see animal cruelty as something like being mean to kitties. Food animals are no better than crops in my eyes.

It's a good thing you didn't say that to my face...

See, now I'm disappointed I didn't get to say it to your face.

I don't have words for how disgusting this is. The fact that a human could genuinely think this sickens me. Honestly, I don't even know what else to say.

I've (thankfully) never seen a mouse inside of this residence, but I am able to spot field mice frolicking in the front yard whenever I step outside. It's quite a sight.

Again, explain to me why it's ok to slaughter animals for their meat but somehow feeding them extra makes it terrible? How about slaughtering calves which haven't been allowed to move around much?

I can be honest with the fact that we pick and choose what's worth protecting (people, kitties) and what's not (cows, salmon). Why can't you?

You are correct.

There are things that must be done to farm animals for the few to be able to feed the many. It is just the way of things.

Bone, you're lucky. Last year I didn't see a single one, not even a sign of one. This year they're driving me nuts. I really don't want to break out the poison, but I might not have a choice.
