If I Pre-Ordered my Wii U, How Early Should I Show Up?

I Pre-ordered mine with Wal-Mart's lay away deal. Apparently from talking to my mom (a Wal-Mart employee) Wal-Mart may not be doing a midnight release. I guess all these pre-orders are done through their Lay-away system, so you'll only be able to get one at midnight if there is somebody there that knows how to run the lay away system.

I should mention: The line got much longer when it got later. There must have been 30-40 people there at midnight. I didn't stay to find out if everyone got their consoles.
