You too? I noticed something starting up yesterday. I don't know if I've got a full blown cold yet, but I definitely feel the beginnings of something. The back of my throat's all scratchy and sore :(

I'm just glad that whatever I've got, I've got now. Maybe then I'll be able to clear it up by Thanksgiving. I want to be able to enjoy my turkey, damnit.
Yup, same symptoms on my end. A Thanksgiving with sniffles would be a true drag. Start pounding some fresh garlic. I like to mince a whole bulb and either steep it in hot water, or the more palatable alternative....toss it in spaghetti sauce.

I've been sick for the last few days now. Just a light cold. Coughing and the chills. Doesn't help that this week has been a bit stressful. I was hoping to clean out and re-grease my car's windows and clean out the rain rails. Thinking that probably wont happen unless I suddenly get a burst of energy.

But  the weekend is almost here!

Tis the season, I guess.

I've never tried the garlic method. I usually just chug down some extra vitamin C and copious amounts of orange juice and water. Though, I might have to call mom and see if she can pick up some extra OJ and garlic on the way home. That spaghetti idea sounds mighty fine.

On a side note, I find it at once comforting and a little off putting that my mom can call me and within 10 seconds discern that I'm catching a cold, despite the fact that I haven't mentioned it and have yet to show any outward signs of it. How does one pick up that you have post-nasal drip over a phone line?

Frown: I have this odd thing where I have pain in my esophagus every time I swallow. It kills me. My mom is begging me to go to the doctor, but I don't really want too. I more than likely cut/ burned myself with some food. I am slightly scared it could be something serious though. Like cancer, or my lung having an air pocket crushing my esophagus. Or an alien egg about to break out of my chest.

I agree. I've had strep throat/throat infections several times. Doctor will likely listen to you breathe, feel your lymph nodes on your neck to see if they're swollen, and maybe take a swab in your throat and culture it. If it is strep or an infection you'll get antibiotics to take for 10 days.

Wow I'm sick too. I've had a weird head cold since Tuesday. I'm finally starting to feel better thanks to some Mexican antibiotics. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to 100%.

I don't get sick. Viruses and bacteria know better.
