NO MORE TWINKIES? WTF!!!!!

Post by mas »

Well it's official. No more twinkies or cup cakes or ding dongs. Hostess is going out of buisness.
I went to a local store and picked up some twinlkies and mountain dew for that last snack goodness for gaming tonight.
Share your thoughts and any gaming memories of snacking these yummy foods while playing games.
Me I always bought twinkies and a thing called choco goodness(chocolate cake with chocolate frosting on top and chocolate creme in the middle) before I went to the arcade or staying of my friend steve's house trying to beat double dragon 2 and batman

Someone will buy out the brand and continue production. With a new set of cheaper non union workers.

yeah. its sad.

It sucks that the company made itself implode. A worforce that tried to unionize itself and a failing Corporation that decided to autoterminate.

But they've gotten so expensive these last few years. Especially at convenience stores. $1.50 and up? No Thanks.

I'm sure some other company wiil buy the brand name. Its somewhat of a legacy product and this whole affair definitely is giving them some attention.

one thing I may miss are those orange cupcakes. those were nice.

Well for now all may not be lost. There are some alternatives if you live in a town with a latino market.

Say Hola to SUBMARINOS!

They dont quite taste the same, but they'll do while the new owners come around.

Twinkies changed for the worst about 10 or so years ago. Does any one remember how good Twinkies use to be? After they changed them, they were just horrible. I haven't had a Twinkies in about 10 years.

Little Debbie's Swiss Rolls... now those things could have been the death of me if I didn't learn some self control.

Since Twinkies are practically immune to aging, I wonder if packaged Twinkies will become huge collectors items in the future.

I actually ate moldy twinkie once. It tasted awful. After the first bite, I looked closely at the inside and could very, very small white bits of mold. Had to throw it out.

It was quite disheartening.
