I watched Impact Wrestling for the first time in forever last night - and while entertaining there were a couple things that I figured were conversational and worth sharing.

1) Anyone that bought the PPV is instantly turned-off to the product because they move the #1 contender to Roode the immediate show after. That's a big middle finger to anyone invested in the triple threat match.

2) Roode removing the turnbuckle right when the match starts destroys any illusion of false-finishes before the turnbuckle comes into play. This was akin to the Rock being the special host of WM and everyone sitting on their hands during the main event until he came down.

3) At this point James Storm's perception to me is that of a gigantic choker and someone insanely gullible since he put up the title shot. Look at the crowd's reaction after he lost. It's less disgust and more "what is WITH this guy?".

4) Aces and Eights lose again. In a non-expert opinion, Samoa Joe being the ultimate leader is possibly the only thing that saves this, with him destroying Angle and Hardy and then taking the belt. Any of these lesser guys (like Wes) really being in cohoots with the bad guys is underwhelming.

5) I DVR'd so I skipped right over Jeff Hardy's (apparently really funny in a bad way for the product) inner monologue stuff.

That said, while this may come across smarky, I do enjoy the product of late and am really excited for the 2012 PPVs in route.

The weird thing about James Storm, based on what I've heard before I started watching regularly, is that TNA seems to want to give the guy a big push, but they seem to keep flip flopping on the idea. I think he could be a huge star for them if they could just give him a sustained push. Hell, Triple H was at one time scouting to get both him and Roode on WWE's roster at one time. Storm has waaaaay more charisma than Jeff Hardy. Jeff is just riding on former glory at this point. He has name value. Not saying I wouldn't keep him on the roster, but I don't know if I'd want him as my champ. He seems more like an X division champ or tag champ to me.

The way they've used ODB recently shows one thing I like about TNA. They are not afraid to show a woman being capable of taking it to one of the guys. She had a match against Tara's boyfriend a while back and schooled him until he got a cheap win via distraction. Then the week after ODB gets in a handicap match with both him and Tara and beats the both of them! When's the last time you've seen a WWE diva do something like that. I loved that.

Also, I gotta say, I love Austin Aries. That guy is just so damn good on the mic. And Samoa Joe, when I see that guy, I think BADASS. Joe's gonna kill you!!!!

One thing I've noticed recently is the WWE copying TNA. TNA always has some guy doing a narration going over all the events on the previous episode of Impact Wrestling. It's like a previously on segment that you see on many other TV shows. In recent weeks, I have noticed the WWE doing this as well. A fully narrated recap of the story events from the week prior. I just find that interesting.

It's nice to see that they did something to make WWE 13 stand out as it's really hard to care about a series that just pumps out rehashes every year. I might have to give this a go.

Also Walmart and Amazon is going to have this game on sale for $25 on Black Friday. I think its an Amazon lightning deal so WWE 13 is going to be on sale on 11/23/12 between the times of
9:10 am - 1:10 pm PST. Hope this helps

^ This is a good way to get Ryback out of the main event picture - his heat has pretty much gone away. He was booed at points last night for breaking up the awesome Punk/Cena segments.

Soooo, the guy who was winning handicap matches on a regular basis couldn't handled three guys from NXT?

Powerbombed through a table. Wow. Did you hear the announcers? "Ryback has been destroyed and decimated by these three men." Yeah, the Ryback character is pretty much done. Put the gimmick to bed. He's a joke. He's pretty much been given the Brock Lesnar treatment.

Let's just stop with the big guy pushes. We've already got the likes of Kane, Show and Henry who are already more capable and talented than rookies like Ryback. It takes more than size to be a star
