I'm Greg. Want to join a video games forum - last one I joined years back wasn't so friendly so I never got involved. Found this one from YouTube vid with the immensely great collection.
Been collecting for over 20 years. My first console was a Coleco Telstar Pong in 1978...

We occasionally have heated discussions, but I think if you're hoping to find a friendly place, this is one of the best places to be.gkarris wrote:I'm Greg. Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I'm always nervous when joining a new website, and I also don't have a ton to say, but here goes...
I'm probably one of the younger ones here (17 and senior in High School). I'm not entirely sure why I'm so interested in the older side of gaming, maybe it's because I've always been a generation or two behind other people, like owning a 64 when my friends in elementary school all had Gamecube or Playstation 2. Maybe it's because I'm a history dork, and a real fickle one too. And gaming history is very fascinating to me.
I think I might differ from a lot of people here because I don't consider myself a collector. I only want to own enough games to keep me satisfied. Although, that seems to be a quite a large number of games from many different systems. I don't know, how does the community here define a "collector"?

welcome mr. droid.
Doesnt matter if your collection is Big or small; as long as you love retrogaming, you have a place in our collective.
Feel free to post your growing collection. Or drop a few words here and there.
We love input.

Definitely on the younger side of the spectrum, i'm 16 and as you can guess love video games. Retro gaming is where it's at even though I do treat myself to Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Other than that I love playing NES and SNES especially JRPGs. I'm looking forward to what i'll get from this site!

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hi there!
My name is Erik and I live in Minneapolis, MN. I've been collecting for about 8 years, and recently passed 1300 games (as well as 500 NES carts). I've spent a lot of time on RFGeneration and used to post on DP a lot as well. I've always enjoyed the articles here and felt it was about time I got an account. I guess that's about it.
