Are you the only one Retro Gaming?

Among close friends, I know a few N64 players. There's a few retro gamers in my residence hall. But I think I'm the only one of them with a Sega Saturn.

I have a really close friend who is the only one I know who actually collects and plays retro games. Mostly NES/SNES stuff as that is what he grew up on but he has a fair collection of PS1, DC, Saturn and Genesis as well.

A bunch of his hipster friends claim to be retro games but for some reason when all of us get together it ends up being my buddy and I whooping the shit out of them because they don't really game, they just buy a bunch of retro games, driving up the price, think their cool for having a paltry collection and talk about how much they love retro games. You can really tell the difference between people who grew up gaming and those who do it to seek status.

All my male friends are into retrogaming. We normally call each other when we go to pawn shops so we don't miss anything.

Yes unfortunately. One of my friends still kinda likes retro games and is interested in them like me, but he does not collect or play them anymore. He stopped about 2 years ago.

The rest of my friends are all about CoD and Assassin's Creed. I love AC but CoD is not my thing.

I'd say a lot of them do not even know what Metroid or Final Fantasy is.

Among my friends I am the only one who is really a retro gamer and collector. Occasionally some of my friends will come over and we will play n64 or ps2 but other than that they seem to be more interested in new Xbox 360, Ps3 games or MMOs.
