What, you've never used a dishwasher to clean computer parts?
All the time actually.

I scrubbed the insides of my NES in the sink with a little (VERY LITTLE) hand soap and a soft brush to get the dust off and in an attempt to get it working.

I've put the cases of smoky consoles in the dish washer on gentle as well.

So I just beat beyond good and evil HD last night and I'm wondering if there are multiple endings for the game.

I didn't really like the game and ended up very frustrated at many different parts and wanted to just quit but didn't save very often so if I had I would be out about 3 hours of game play so I usually just powered through.

I couldn't take it anymore, I need to game on the subway so I took my Game Boy Color and started playing Pokemon Blue.

To make things more interesting I decided to do a Nuzlocke Challenge with some extra rules of my own added:

1) Once you get into a route, gym or dungeon, you can't go back.
2) You can only capture the first pokemon you find on a route that you don't already own a specimen of.
3) You must nickname all your Pokémon.
4) If a Pokémon faints, you must release it.

The first rule is what makes the run grindless because otherwise the game would be completely pointless. Most people tend to use fiddly clauses like limiting the number of pokemon centers you can visit or so on, but I think my solution is much cleaner and less likely to be gamed.

Given it's Pokemon Blue, it didn't take me long to decide to take Bulbasur as my starter. Misty is, by far, the hardest NPC in the game simply because she has a good level Starmie with recover and a powerful attack compared to the shit you have. Sure, she might just spam Defense X but I would rather not gamble it because I'm not save scumming.

My game started well. Called my Bulbasaur "Tomoachan" because that rocks and took as much time as possible killing stupid birds while running for the early errands. Got to Viridrian Forest, where I didn't get any monsters in the grass thanks to a glitch and ended up in Pewter Town with Tomoachan, a Rattata called "Nika" and a stupid Pidgey I didn't care for.

Of course Nika wasn't going to take a Rock gym on its own so I left all the work to Bulbasaur and try to level her up later. All was doing well until I kind of pushed it after a Growl, thinking the reduced defense wouldn't kill my Nika.

It did. One hour into the game and I already lost a monster.

But oh well, life goes on and I bought a Magickarp for 500 coins which is probably the best thing I could have gotten. I'm going to try to level it and have it evolved by the time I face Misty but I don't think that will happen, not enough potions or experience points.

Well, that's it! Let's see how quickly I die next time.

I fail to see the point in pre-ordering something from the Steam store.

often they give you a discount, allow you to preload it, and start playing at midnight on release day...

My Nuzlocke run has ended. Total party kill two hours into the game, while crossing Mt Moon. Man, is this challenge awesome!

A cookie for whoever can guess who killed me.

Yes

I simply misplayed. After switching in my Ivysaur and taking a hit, I used a potion, just to watch him use Hyper Fang again and then Quick Attack, killing it. All my other monsters were hurt and he quick attacked them to death. Game Over.

That's the shell of a Tandy?! Wow. It looks the front to one of those old cooler units that are at a Motel 6.
