I don't know actually. I could probably check right now, but I'm too lazy to, hah.
I just bought this on whim for a SNES
The racketboy guide prices it at $28-38, that was early 2011. Not sure waht it is now.

The downside to the mini is no S-Video output. I don't think you got a steal but you weren't ripped off or anything. A very fair transaction.

I've gotten most of my stuff at thrift stores, actually. The garage sales I've been to around here have been pretty lacking. I do go to the local flea market from time to time, but it's a ways away, so I don't make it over there too often. Gotten a few pretty good deals at my local game store, too, but mostly it's been from the thrift stores.

Craigslist huh? Los Angeles craigslist is absolutely terrible for games. Lots of ads for repair services, homebrew services, burned games, website ads, and HORRIBLE "deals" like $60 for a Super Nintendo with Punch-Out. Or how about $50 for an N64 with Mario64 and Mario Golf? $20 Super Mario World!

I pulled all of those as I typed this post.

Haha seriously... the fact that someone was able to obtain the bulk of their collection from craigslist blows my mind.

No joke man. Things on Craigs were pretty sweet around here, up until about a year and a half ago. That is when what I like to call the "retro game boom" happened locally, and everyone and their brother thought it would be cool to collect these games. (also about the same time shows like American Pickers started gaining popularity.... go figure?)

There are still some things there now, but people have gotten super greedy. The new "norm" is to check the prices on EBay and then price the same. I say, if you're gonna use EBay, then sell your shit there.

Used Wii for $150? Um.... hello? I don't care how much you paid for it. If it's the same price now brand new, then you shouldn't try to sell it used for that much.

I do this thing to weed out the re-sellers on Craigs. I post a game list with a few SNES games or something, then I put a super rare cart on there. If I get calls asking for just that cart, and super low ball prices for it, then I know I have a re-seller on my hands. I probe with some questions, just to be a dick. Then I call them out on it. Kinda sick, I know, but I get my jollies that way.

One guy wanted my copy of Mega X3 for $10. I saved his number in my phone. So when he was selling something of equally rare value, I called him on it. He didn't like that one bit. LOL.

Logitech USB NASCAR steering wheel - $2.99 at Goodwill. It was a "lets hope this works" item and it works really well. Apparently it has force feedback, but it only has paddle shifters. For $3 I am not complaining, sadly I have only used it as a mouse on the htpc so far - No racing games install at the moment.

I got most of my collection from Craigslist as well

Game collecting where I am is pretty sweet
Craigslist has tons of games, and the people are always nice
Flea market is saturared with games, and the resellers are nice and agreeable, and don't go around buying everyone else's games
Garage sales have games for super cheap, when they have them
Pennysaver is also a great source of games
The one retail old game store has really nice workers and decent prices
Along with that, there are almost no other collectors other than me in my area

there are a couple guys like that around here. someone tried to sell a loose copy of Chase the Chuck Wagon for 2600 for $150. i thought it was kinda neat that someone around here even HAD that game, but to put it on CL for such an inflated amount really blew my mind.

sometimes you find good deals, sometimes you don't. nature of the business, i guess.
