Thanks. And this episode will not have a sequel. Normal Game Sack will return next week.

Maybe I should explain the "humor" of this episode. The so-called joke really isn't that funny, not even if it was done once. But the "audience" absolutely loves it and we hear uproarious laughter and cheering, etc. That's kind of my take on real sitcoms. The studio audience always laughs at everything and it's damn rare that any of it is funny at all. And comedians like David Letterman do the same joke over and over and over once they get the initial laugh, thinking it will continue to work just as well each time. I always watched these shows thinking "what the hell are these people laughing at?" Unless it's Married With Children because then I'm laughing, too. But that's not what we're mocking because that was actually a good show... most of the time.

Redifer wrote: I find this comment a bit interesting as a LOT of people who do this game video thing online have a lot of non-gaming time spent in the majority of their videos, the AVGN being a primary example as well as Pat the Punk, Irate Gamer and a few others I have seen. Some even have entire episodes without any games or game-related peripherals. This is the only time we have done an episode like this and I'm the one to get this complaint. Odd. Oh well, you can't please everyone. And honestly, we don't try to. :)
don't feel bad -- I am not a fan of AVGN, et al either. I think I've mentioned to a few times now that I really don't usually enjoy watching game videos like the ones you've mentioned. But I have enjoyed Game Sack immensely, mainly because you guys usually spend a bulk of your time being very informative.

Well you should definitely like the next episode, then.... unless you're not too fond of shoot-em-ups. Or the Genesis.

well, I'm a huge shmup-fan so bring it on!

BTW, just for reference... the Dreamcast "commercial" you guys made seriously made me uh "LOL"... so I can safely say you guys have great comedic sense (and again, wonderful production values). I just thought that the "what are you doing?" joke over-stayed its welcome is all.

I was waiting for you to say that :)

If this is Genesis and shmups, I sure hope there will be a mention of Bio-Hazard Battle. It really is a stellar & under-rated game.

Watched this again and was wondering; was that really footage of you guys from when you were all in high school and/or college at the end there? The running gag with taking stuff from Dave was really entertaining to watch... on the contrary, I thought the MORE it went on the more it drove home the tongue-in-cheekness or whatever you want to call it as "the sitcom" and frankly it was hilarious. The whole episode is awesome and everything just flows so well with the sitcom-style combined with the choice of games. Really fun to watch, I think this might be my favorite Game Sack episode actually. Sounds like I'm heaping praise but I really think it's that good! It looks you all spent considerable amount of time putting it together too.

Thanks! The oldest footage was shot around 4 years after we finished high school. Other footage is from 2004. It was definitely fun to make something so different. It's incredibly stupid but purposefully so.

If Game Sack was a sitcom then I could travel down I-70 pretty easily and be a featured guest star!
