Btw, love the part after the knife fight with the lasers - adds a whole lot of "replay value" to the game...too bad it's the wrong kind of replay value.

For someone with an RE4 avatar you seem to have a lot of problems with RE4...

Can't deny that. However, it is my first time playing through it and it is on normal mode. I don't believe in playing through a game on lower difficulties and I never use the internet for hints/cheats. I might rant and rave, but I do love the series and the characters.AppleQueso wrote:For someone with an RE4 avatar you seem to have a lot of problems with RE4...

I beat all three SSWs at least once a year. The first is the most frustrating, but the last few levels of the game are fun as balls. Fun balls.Jrecee wrote:Super star wars 2 and 3. God I wanted those to be good, but they're not. The first is average.
All three games in the series take a lot of liberty with the story, but it doesn't take away from how fun the games can be. Downing AT-Ats and AT-St's will aways be fun. Finally getting the force power to fly and not worry about those ghost jumps is a great feeling. And the final fight with Vader and Emperor were awesome boss battles for the snes.

Exactly! If you think 4 is difficult then avoid Code Veronica, Outbreak and Nemesis.AppleQueso wrote:RE4 has some cheap parts, but I wouldn't call it a crazy difficult game or anything at all.

Like I said before, I don't think it's overly difficult, there are just a lot of unnecessary parts that involve surprise and instant death. I have CRUSHED Nemesis many times (hard mode with three saves or less on several occasions) and plan to play CV and Outbreak soon. I like RE4, but I prefer the more traditional games. RE5 was a disappointment to me, and I haven't heard great things about RE6 either, so I don't think I'm missing much with these new installments.KillerJuan77 wrote:Exactly! I heard a lot of mix opinions on 6, it looks like the only good section is Leon.

I like the atmosphere of RE4 a lot more than RE5, and the bosses are pretty cool. I'm also a huge Leon fan when it comes to my Resident Evil fix (maybe from playing RE2 for countless hours in the 90's) and I'll take him over Chris any day. I plan on giving RE5 another go pretty soon, but it's a low priority right now.How does 4 feel after playing 5 first?

Bumping this one after playing the first Ninja Gaiden for the past four hours...reached the final boss and gave up after being pushed back down to level 6-1. Have any of you guys actually beaten this game legitly?

Negative. In fact, I gave up at 5-3. Stupid birds. I should try it again, though. I do want to eventually get to the boss before moving on to NG2.
