Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey!
I'm Rob 24 from Tamworth,England. Been playing games since I was about 6 I was a huge Sega fan boy growing up starting with the Master System and Ending with the Saturn. I pretty much fell out of gaming after leaving school due to numerous other hobbies and interests. I picked up a PS2 a few years ago and to be honest apart from a few titles I was not overly impressed. Fast forward to last week I was sorting through the loft/attic and I found my Mega Drive
pluged in Sonic 3 and now I'm hooked, I have already modded in a 50/60H switch,Language switch and widened the cartridge slot

Welcome, welcome. I'm by no means a veteran around here but I'm certainly glad to usher in another Sega (and specifically Saturn) fan.

I hate to say it, but at this point, aren't well all Saturn fans? I really can't think of a mainstream console that I dislike...

Hmm, point well taken. I still love seeing someone put it in writing though.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey there, after reading browsing your page for a while now i've decided to register and "get active" on the board.
I'm 23 years old from Vienna (Austria) and i currently own a Wii, a GC, a NES and of course PC. I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy though, it's just that i grew up with Nintendo (hence the oldschool NES) and i had to sell my Ps2 a while ago and don't have enough money for a Ps3/Xbox360 + HDTv (and without Tv i don't get the point of having those new consoles ;P).
PS: Oh, and i have mostly women in my Ava/Sig's even though i'm a guy
(mainly because i rather see a beautifull woman now and then
)

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I've been posting for a couple weeks, but I just found this thread. I'm 23, married, no kids, one dog.
I've been a casual gamer since I was 6 and got an NES, but lately I've been getting into it more. I generally like any good game, but I have a hard time getting into rpgs. I have just started playing Super Mario RPG via emulator, so maybe that will help change my mind.
The Dreamcast is my favorite console of all time, though the Wii may take that spot one day. I dig the SNES as well.
I play a little guitar and enjoy writing music. If anyone is interested, check out my myspace music page: http://www.myspace.com/alexhenglishmusic
I think this is a great online community. I don't think I've seen any bickering on here, and that is nice.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I've been a lurker for some time now. I am 30, married with children and have been a gamer since the TI Computer days. We use to get games in basic and play them through a cassette tape. I started getting back into my classic systems when the Wii released it's VC titles for the TG-16. I had one as a kid and had very fond memories of it and had to play the games on the original hardware. I had my parents send me a couple of boxes of my old consoles which were still in the attic at my home. Between that and my Ebay purchases, here is what I have in my collection:
My pride and joy is still my TurboGrafx and I play that more than any of the other ones. I am currently playing through Winds of Thunder for the first time. The sound track is pretty impressive to say the least.

Nice collection! I'm just starting up my Turbografx library, so far I've got Bonk, Blazing Lazers(rock!) and Splatterhouse. Great little system, just wish I had a turbo booster! I'm jealous of your cocktails and Tron Standup. one of omy best memories was playing that in a pitch black arcade with the wonderful glowing blue arcade stick. Valis III rocks too, not many people give that game enough credit. Have you played Hagane on the SNES...very similar to strider, shinobi and valis series with a samarai robot and great looking levels and enemies. Great stuff!
Welcome to the forums!
Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I wish the TurboGrafx would have had a different outcome. I think if they would have left the PC Engine alone and just marketed it correctly we would still be talking about it. I just started playing some of the "Arcade Pro" games and some of them have such great graphics it's shocking. I am still amazed that this thing is the same processing power as the NES (with many, many additions).
Blazing Lazers has such great all around sound to it. The Neo Flash cart is a good investment for the TG if you want to play imports without the converter or adding a switch. I modded one of my Turbos to play Imports and I was going to add a switch but got tired of soldering so I just switch the systems when I want one or the other.
