So I've been bouncing this question around, planning on making a blog on it but decided to hear the podcast's take on it:

Is local multi-player that we remember so fondly from the older gaming generations dying in the current generation?

I ask because I've played some recent racing games and noticed they allow system link and online multi-player but lack that simple ability to add a controller to play side by side with your friends/family. Is this simply a change in how people play games or are we just not gathering and playing together any more?
