It was a beautiful fall day here yesterday. Had to take advantage before it gets too cold although I do leave the grill out year round. It's right by my side door, so it works out pretty good.
I don't criticize or fault people who want to grill year-round. More power to them. It's just not my cup of tea. I do a lot of grilling during the spring/summer/fall so I look forward to a different cooking style for the winter. It's a good change of pace for me.
Now if I had an outdoor brick pizza oven, I could see myself using that year round.

Sundays during football season are almost always a grilling day for my household. We eat too healthy (so says I) during the rest of the week so being able to grill out is kind of a reward (my wife has me trained).
Sandstone. Buy a slate of sandstone.
I've been making homemade pizza from scratch since I was in high school and have made the mistake of buying "pizza stones". Go to a hardware store and you'll pay a fraction of the price and get better results.

Doesn't matter what time of the year it is. Grilled meat is always tasty!

Due to space constraints, my cart collection lives in boxes in the closet so it is only disturbed when playing something or putting a new acquisition away. Every time I file something new I spend longer than necessary looking through the boxes I have to move in order to put the new thing away. What should be a sub 5 minute job is always 15-20 instead.

What one are you looking for? Maybe someone has it sitting around taking up space.

I'm interested in a few of the older ones from the late 90s. The site says they have them in stock, but I haven't been able to find anything about prices. I'd post a "wanted" thread but I'm not sure what the odds are that someone would have the specific ones I'm looking for. I wasn't able to find any of them on ebay either.

And they work good on a Weber kettle grill.
Another beautiful day today. Probably going to grill again. I like to reward myself during the week, plus most of the stuff I grill is pretty healthy. If the weather holds like this into the weekend I just might have to pull out the smoker.
Been sampling some Celestial Seasonings holiday teas lately:
Plum Spice = Meh. I'll drink it, but I won't be getting that again.
Sugar Cookie = Not bad. I quite like it actually. It's sweet without having to add any sugar.
Candy Cane = Yum. It's basically your average peppermint, but more...pepperminty. It's also a green tea, as opposed to herbal, which is also a plus for me. I may have to stock up.
I lost power early yesterday morning. It came back on shortly before I left for work.
When I came home there was loud electronic feedback/screeching sound that consumed most of the second floor of my house. I figured it was an electrical problem and that it was caused by the power outage. It sounded like it was near the ceiling and I believed it to be one of the light fixtures. I dismantled it, but the sound persisted. Then I turned off power to the entire house and I could still hear the noise. I checked all the smoke alarms - nothing. At this point I was convinced it was a pipe (heating, hot water, whatever) so I crawled along the floor putting my ear to all the heat vents. That didn't yield any results, so in a last-ditch attempt I decided to examine everything I own with a lithium battery inside. The second device I checked was the culprit:
Mario Bros. Game & Watch!
The batteries where dying/dead. The sound the device emitted was amazingly loud.
Altogether I wasted about an hour and a half looking for this noise.

Egads. I would have never even thought to look there.
In a slightly similar vein, while I was still in high school, my friends and I stopped by one friend's grandmother's house so she could pick something up. The house was dark and no one was home. But while we were waiting for her in the living room, we heard this constant little 'ting!' noise and we couldn't figure out where the hell it was coming from.
The house had an open floor plan, so the sound was echoing off the walls and the four of us literally spent 10 minutes wandering around trying to figure out what the hell it was. Every time we though we were getting close we realized it was just the damned echo and had to start again.
Our culprit was a fan pull. It was all the way up near the top of the ceiling (I've never understood why they're even there when they're controlled by wall switches. Aesthetics?) and the force of the fan was shaking the little thing just enough that kept lightly hitting the glass around the light bulbs. At that point we were ready to find a ladder and just rip the damned thing off, but we had a movie to go to, so it was sparred our wrath
