I saw a couple videos today that were similar to unboxing videos. Unless I overlooked this, it seemed like even with the black console, you still had a white HDMI cord and a white power cord. The machine also picked up EVERY fingerprint.
So it's like every glossy black electronic device ever.
Yes, but the entire thing is black glossy so it is pretty noticable.

I did it.... I was mulling it around for a while, and I went ahead and did it.

pre-ordered the deluxe version. (I hate that Nintendo gets $50 more dollars for making it black. Smart on their part, but I hate it none the less.) I don't need the extra memory or the pack in game at all. Honestly, it's just to match the rest of the consoles.

*mutters under breath*... 50 extra dollars... damn Nintendo....

Can I ask where you found a deluxe pre-order this late in the game?

You think you don't need the extra memory now, but in a year's time you'll be glad you have it.

I don't want the game, but I do want the hard-drive space for Virtual Console and Wii Ware games. I'm still waiting for all the initial hype to die down to see if it drops in value any.

Try Target. They were selling $5 Wii U reservation cards back in electronics. It wasn't a heavily publicized announcement, so good luck. I actually cancelled my Best Buy pre-order and grabbed the Target voucher.
