As has been the case since the show started, 8 or 9 times out of 10 I find South Park to be funny. I don't at all buy arguments that the show has gotten markedly worse over time.
For that matter, I still regularly find Family Guy and The Simpsons funny (if less so). All of these shows are long past coasting on originality, and all still deliver consistently. I get that they have all had a season of three of outstanding episodes, but I'll happily take 10 or more additional seasons where the healthy majority give me plenty of chuckles.

If I was new to the forum I'd be wondering what South Park has to do with doping, but this is racketboy

I'm glad I'm not the only one. As they said on South Park (while drawn as the Simpsons), every idea's been done. What matters is the presentation.dsheinem wrote:For that matter, I still regularly find Family Guy and The Simpsons funny (if less so). A friend of mine who writes comics and screenplays one created a zombie chicken, who loves to eat chicken. A google search of "Zombie Chicken" brings up over 5,000,000 results. The funniest thing was that there's an episode of The Fresh Prince where Will dresses like a chicken eating chicken out of a bucket, much like my friend's design.MrPopo wrote: I'm glad I'm not the only one. Re: Lance Armstrong
I haven't found the Simpsons funny in a very, very long time. The more I watch them, the worse opinion I get of it. I find the humour forced, made of small scenes that aren't tied with each other. I feel like characters and plot are superimpossed and it works based on comic hits that don't have an effect ten minutes down the line, they don't create character or specific themes and the more I watch it, the more apparent it gets.
So yeah, I hate fun, deal with it

When is the last time you sat down and watched a full episode?

Whoa, a great season finale episode. I hope South Park can sustain that level of quality the last two episodes had in season 17.
I wonder if the Hummer joke had any intended symbolism behind it, given that some Chinese company bought the Hummer brand some years ago?

I think the "Asians? Oh hell yes!"-Hummer salesman
line would point all signs to yes.

That was a good one. I also liked the bit between the boys and Bubbles at the hospital. It was corny as hell, but it made me giggle.Luke wrote:Menegrothx wrote: I wonder if the Hummer joke had any intended symbolism behind it, given that some Chinese company bought the Hummer brand some years ago?
