If you had an abusive boyfriend, beat you, hit, tortured you - and he gave you a puppy at some point...Would it be ok to kill that puppy? Or would it be better to give the puppy to a new loving home?

Sad that murder enhances your faith in humanity.

Well, babies aren't puppies. But anyhow, life is life no matter how it gets here. If someone thinks the unborn count as fully human, it doesn't seem fair to expect them to be quiet about it.

It isn't analgous to anything else, of course. And since many on this forum won't see it as murder, trying to open eyes in a different manner.

Point being that there are better options, primarily there are thousands of families who would give everything they had to take that little one. As an uncle of a nephew, born from rape, I am sickened at the notion that that life is not life. The proof is in my 10 year old nephew, and he is amazing.

Maybe he is amazing. And rather or not I agree morally with abortion. My stance would be that I don't think it is the government's decision. That is until late term...

Depends on how old the baby is when it's aborted.

Four weeks or 5 months is a big difference.

I understand the idea, but respectfully disagree. Life and death aren't matters left for individuals to decide in really any other instance. It also seems to me the government has made a decision the way things are currently.

I'm all for small government, but if you do consider it as murder, it's definitely government business.

This.

I also seem to have to remind people that pro-choice is just that. Choice. There will be people that will have and keep the child. There are those that don't want to go through that.

I'm not in favor of the government telling people what they can't do with their own bodies.

I think it is the individuals right up until a certain point. Some believe life at conception, I think it is ok to abort until the fetus is sustainable on its own or minor assistance... The cutoff point is debatable.

The Catholics even take it as far as saying contraceptives deny life. So I believe this is a religious and moral decision the government has shaky ground to stand on.

They can't survive on their own once they pop out either. It's a long time before they can!
