So what have you guys been watching lately?

I just spent my whole weekend catching up on season 2 of Transformers Prime. I could not stop wacthing (literally, my mom needed that DVR space cleared). Then I wacthed the season finale. There was on more episode left. So I watched it, and it was just an encore of the finale. I NEED THE RESOLUTION!

I've also just started watching Kamen Rider fansubs. Does anyone know where I can find the Century Kings sub of the third episode of Kamen Rider Black? The early episodes don't seem to be on their blog.

Til Debt Do Us Part is a show on CNBC that I been watching lately when I have some recorded on the DVR. It's about finances and helping couples get out of money troubles.

It's unbelievable how many people don't have basic concepts of finance especially the part of spending less than what you make every month.

T Dog didn't go without a fight. He did, however, remember me of "that guy" on a Star Trek episode that you know wasn't go to make it. Was kind of hoping for an "Aw sheeeeet" from him before his demise, but I'm glad he finally got some dialogue in the past couple of episodes.

This show has really gotten it's shit together. Not just with aesthetics, but as a show entirely. The pace, the characters, the choices the characters make, the intrigue...This season has been very, very well produced.

Concerning last night's episode: I was glued to the set. When Lorie was at her end and the camera panned off screen, for a split second I thought Carl may have shot himself. Speaking of the shot off screen, I hope Carl did indeed shoot Lorie in the head and we don't have a zombie Lorie in ANY episode.

So, Walking Dead this week...pretty intense. Easily the best show on T.V. right now.

I can't believe the gore they can get away with on T.V. with this show. That neck bite just gushed out the blood. You gotta feel for the inmates, too. They're just trying to survive.

And man, that part at the end when Rick just crumpled to the ground made me nearly tear up. Well done, emotional moment in the series.

yeah he did a good job with that scene, except i was like, man don't hug your son or anything. i was impressed with lori's scene. as bad as her acting has been, she did well there. i was still hoping the baby was a zombie and ate its way out of lori though. 8)

I agree. It was a very good scene. It was nice to see Rick display an emotion this season other than the predominate, "I'ma chop your head off with this machete."

Yep, would have been cool to see. But that belongs more in b-horror movies, Walking Dead has more class (as much as a zombie show can have, lol).

I'm not really a fan of horror movies. Would I still like this show?

I've enjoyed Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, Sherlock. Deadwood was so-so.

I would say no. There's little appeal for anyone who is not a fan of horror, and I don't think it's the best show on TV, not even close. It's not nearly as good as Homeland, Last Resort, Nikita, Fringe (the current season has been amazing), and Once Upon a Time. Also, when Supernatural is firing on all cylinders it's a better show as well and draws on a lot more horror elements than Walking Dead does.

I think Homeland is a show that you might like. Walking Dead is fun, but it's really for fans of zombie movies or the comic. It's got little appeal in my opinion for anyone else and is easy to criticize due to how far removed from reality so many things on that show are, like how the hell zombies can constantly sneak up on people or how everyone on the show is a sharpshooter, even when firing a shotgun from a moving vehicle. It's not even in the same league as some of the shows you mentioned. Breaking Bad and The Wire are on a whole other level entirely than The Walking Dead.

I say give it a shot. You'd be fine starting from the beginning of this season. The shows you mention at times are more violent than TWD, and like TWD, they mostly focus on characters with the goal to survive at any cost. The Walking Dead is more a story of ongoing survival than it is about zombies and "BOOGITY BOOGITY" scares.
