There are plenty of British gaming sites out there, for the record.

Also, when I say retro PC gaming I mean old DOS and Win9X games. I don't have any real interest in stuff like Amiga and C64, which admittedly were much more popular in Europe. Most of the greatest IBM games were American, which is why I don't understand how they haven't taken off again over here.

My journey into programming the NES continues, and oh man so many little hurdles. I had one issue where I sat there for hours trying to figure out what went wrong, only to realize I put a couple of BNE's where there should've been BEQ's. Later I had the thing just start freaking out on me until I realized that I'd accidentally backspaced over a couple of INX's.

Still though, it's pretty neat slowly come together. Got a bit of a very basic platformer hopping thing going on now. Jumps are a bit faster than I'd like, though i'm not sure right now how to slow it down. Gotta work on loading backgrounds, scrolling, and proper collision detection sooner or later.

I'll miss it. At least midterms keep starting earlier and earlier.

Heck, this presidential cycle started January 16, 2009. We'll be back at it in no time.

Cheers k'boy.

Not one to drink on a Tuesday, especially since there are no NHL games on, but I raise my glass to you.

So, if Obama is re-elected, the GOP extends its control of the house, and the senate retains its Democrat edge... the public has decided that they like the way things have been the past two years, and everything should hold for now? LAME.

I think the dems will make incremental gains across the board, which is at least slow change and likely bodes well for 2014.

True. They likely won't take the house, but they may add some seats. I also heard a couple commentators speculate that the Dems may actually gain a couple more Senate seats. Too early to tell though.
