It matters because our country is full of people like this:

I live in Alabama, republicans win that state anyway. So casting a vote for Obama would be pointless and casting a vote for Romney is piling on. Please do away with the electoral college and I might vote.

Wow.

People in LA County get to vote on mandatory condom use in porn. This is an actual real thing. I'd love to see the campaign ads.

Wait. Not in that sense. In the sense of "Hi, I'm so and so and I approve this proposition".

That won't be happening if Obama is elected. I hate mandatory health care as much as I hate Romney.

Haha, I was mainly commenting in jest. However, that's a pretty crazy law that could be spun in many different directions. Like, the state paying for incurred costs due to the treatment of people with STI's who can't afford the bills. Or the government more or less getting a tax revenue from all of the pornography being produced.

Remind me again why it's only illegal when you DON'T film people having sex for money?

Activist Democrat Christians in the beginning of the 20th century. Funny how it turned from "those poor women" to "god wants us to stone whores!".

Well, he's right to some degree. Had I lived in a battleground state I may have had more trouble deciding who to vote for, but being in Red Georgia, I went for Gary Johnson.
