Sonic Jam not working on Saturn? But Others do?

OK, this has turned officially weird. Last weekend I put my US copy of Sonic Jam into my Saturn. Now, normally it just plays with no problem however once I get to the Copyright information that appears when you start a game the game stops loading. The access drive light stop turning red and it is just blank.

So I figured something is wrong with my copy of Sonic Jam so I loaded my Japanese version of Sonic Jam and it does the same thing. In order to load my Japanese copy I have Action Replay (and AR works on my Japanese NiGHTS game) and it does the same thing. So next I checked my Saturn to make sure it is working correctly and my other games work correctly.

Next I cleaned and re-buffed my US copy of Sonic Jam and it does the same thing. So now I'm at a loss. The only thing I can think of is to try another Sega Saturn but I don't want to buy another one for something that "could" be an easy fix or something else.

try it without the action replay/memory cart.

My copy is picky too. Sometimes the scratches on it affect start-up/gameplay.

Games should start automatically when theres no cart in the slot. When the carts in the system you have to press the button to make the game start.

Doesnt hurt to try it this way.
