Beautiful SHMUPs?

I'm looking for (horizontal) SHMUPs for Turbografx-16 (CD)/PC Engine (CD)/Amiga 500/Atari ST that have a nature theme. I really like the look of Agony and Kolibri, they're beautiful to look at.

That is easy: Apidya, on the Amiga. You control a bee against other insects and animals.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Apidya. The levels get very "technological" towards the end though.

I think Parodius and Ikaruga are damn pretty for two different aspects.

I would have to agree on Ikaruga, that particular shmup makes you feel like you're not just flying over some static backgrounds or landscapes, the perspective always seems to be changing.

Hydorah has some gorgeous modern sprite art.

There is also Biohazard Battle (I think that is the name) on the Mega Drive, perhaps? Blood Money (Amiga) has some interesting levels as well, but not very natural. Check it out though.

Yes on Bio Hazard Battle -- besides the stages, even the powerups, ship, and everything *about* that game is different and worth checking out.
