Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I want a full blown, console release of a traditional top-down view Legend of Zelda game, with all the shine and polish of a full-blown 3D Legend of Zelda console release.
We haven't seen one since The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES. And that is still considered one of the greatest games ever made, to this day. The success of the New Super Mario Bros. series, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Donkey Kong Country Returns proves that modern games with a retro-feel and good production values do well for Nintendo. So why not?

^ I'd like that.
I'm also hoping the Advance Wars franchise makes an appearance on Wii-U eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we saw a retro-Zelda throwback eventually.
Hell I'd be happy with something that had the graphical style of Four Swords Adventures.

I'd be content even just to see it on the regular DS again. AFAIK, it's a dead series.Nintendork666 wrote:^ I'd like that.

If anything you will probably only see something like this on the 3DSBurningDoom wrote:I want a full blown, console release of a traditional top-down view Legend of Zelda game, with all the shine and polish of a full-blown 3D Legend of Zelda console release.

What makes you say that? There were 2 games released on the DS.BoringSupreez wrote:I'd be content even just to see it on the regular DS again. AFAIK, it's a dead series.Nintendork666 wrote:^ I'd like that.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I'd like to see another Tales game on the Wii U. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World on Wii was fantastic.
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Stopped by best buy today after work because I heard they had a display unit. Got to try it out for a little bit, and came away impressed for sure. First off the controller... It is light, like crazy light. It also doesnt feel fragile like a cell phone or something, it could survive drops no problem. It felt very comfortable, the sticks were just like the ones on the Wii nunchuck but without the octagon shape. The "triggers" are not analogue like on the ps3 or 360, but feel really good.
The only playable demo they had was Rayman Legends, and it felt just like Rayman Origins, but not a bad thing. It looked great, super sharp lines and color, very nice to see HD from Nintendo. Part of the demo involved playing from the controller screen while the tv displayed the same thing, it was cool to see both being displayed with no lag, the screen on the controller is super sharp and looks very nice.
I had already wanted to get it for sure, but not getting to try it out makes me want one more.
