There's a Joss Whedon sale on Amazon. $65 for the complete Buffy set is very tempting. Damn them for doing this so close to the holidays. There's too much stuff I want that's coming out and I needs to save money for presents >_<

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Who the hell decided that the status quo at the grocery store is to shuffle along as slow as humanly possible?! It's freaking infuriating!
And while I'm on the subject, why is it that every slow-ass old guy on the road finds a friend to buddy-up alongside and take up both lanes?

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I purposely drive at or just a mile or two above the speed limit in the left lane of most four lane roads with a 40mph or below posted limit just to piss people off who try to treat that as a passing lane. It's insane that most drivers end up tailgating and attempt to pass on the right in these situations. It's one thing to pass slower traffic on a highway or interstate, but on roads where there is lots of commercial and/or residential traffic trying to turn onto said road, speeders really screw things up for everybody.BurningDoom wrote: And while I'm on the subject, why is it that every slow-ass old guy on the road finds a friend to buddy-up alongside and take up both lanes?

Diving slow in the fast lane just to "piss people off", however, is safe for everyoneBikeage wrote:It's one thing to pass slower traffic on a highway or interstate, but on roads where there is lots of commercial and/or residential traffic trying to turn onto said road, speeders really screw things up for everybody.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
In commercial or residential corridors it's not the "fast" lane, the left lane is there to accommodate the flow of traffic. And i'm not driving slow either. I am going at or slightly above the speed limit in the left lane. And not in an obnoxious way when I really don't need to be, but if I am in fact turning left up ahead or accommodating vehicles waiting to turn right onto the road. So the "pissing people off part" is really the inevitable idiot coming up behind me, speeding, then tailgating, then passing on the right reacting to my common sense in a foolish manner. I's not so much I do it "on purpose" (poor choice of words), but rather I refuse to also drive like a jerk just because everyone else is.dsheinem wrote:Diving slow in the fast lane just to "piss people off", however, is safe for everyoneBikeage wrote:It's one thing to pass slower traffic on a highway or interstate, but on roads where there is lots of commercial and/or residential traffic trying to turn onto said road, speeders really screw things up for everybody.

I've been saying that for years. For some reason though, retro PC gaming has never taken off the way retro console gaming has. Good for prices, but bad for discussions.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:This site could use some retro-PC articles...
