MOH: Warfighter's Dirty Secret Fuels the Flames of Hatred
Re: MOH: Warfighter's Dirty Secret Fuels the Flames of Hatre
Something to consider on this issue is that I don't think that people can declare that violent games aren't able to manipulate minds into violence, and then turn around and say that "hateful" (I'm using that word very loosely here) games are able to manipulate minds into hatred. If artificial aggression doesn't translate into real life (as is the general consensus), then clearly this is nothing to be concerned about.

I was just using the phrase "bleeding heart liberal" to bring up the stereotype I was picturing. This does not need to be a political discussion.marlowe221 wrote:So Gamespot is "liberal" because they critized MOH and not COD??? Is COD the game that democrats play and MOH the ones republicans play??? That makes absolutely no sense at all.
Edit: I'll add this - If it's "liberal" to refuse to see other people as cardboard cut-outs, particularly people of other cultures/religions then call me "liberal."

Woah, woah, woah! Slow down there Jimmy, I don't think I can keep up with your incredible word play. Can we get a translation for those of us who weren't born with such natural wit?KillerJuan77 wrote:Hometurd
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Homefront. Trust me, I'm being kind, it's arguably the worst military shooter I've played this gen. It's so broken, ugly and stupid that words can not describe it.MrEco wrote:Woah, woah, woah! MOH deserves this criticism because the devs were hyping it up to be an "authentic" experience. In that case, they should have made it more than just a standard arcade FPS. Yes, I would consider arcade just like I consider COD and Battlefield arcade. An authentic FPS would be ARMA.
Now also, some games want to have a story and some games do not. COD and Battlefield have stories, but they are clearly forced and you are not REALLY supposed to care about them with the exception of Soap and Price being awesome. If MOH Warfighter was anything like its 2010 predecessor, I can tell you the story is supposed to be an important part but sucked anyway, just like the 2010 game. MOH actually tries to have a deep story but they fail on so many levels, as GS's review pointed out. COD and BF don't get bashed as much because they do not take themselves as seriously.
