Would you make a custom item for the charity auction? The doorway to my gameroom is narrow.

Shipping costs could be a deal breaker, but I wouldn't mind putting a 17" HD monitor to use and finally have a cab in my gameroom. PM me with some spitballs.

So you're "re-cabinetizing" a consolized MVS? I love it! It's like you're making it pure again. "CCMVS" will be the next sensation.

In all seriousness, beautiful workmanship.

I'd like to do something, but shipping is going to hurt most things I would do, unless it were built in kit form. Also, my window to stain / lacquer is closed - so i'll prob try to think of something small for this year and plan on something cool / shippable for next year.

Thank you very much, this particular build had zero baseline to go off of, no pics and definitely no specs to go off, something that had to look like furniture, by multi-functional, and also match the new CMVS. Because the CMVS is a custom build as well, I had to sort of guess at color and grain match - they are the same wood type, but not from the same cord.

The "top" is an add on piece, I have to try the new unit out on (3) diff monitors to find out what I like best. As said, it's a WIP, and this is phase 1 of the build, the next phase is to determine how to mount the arcade sticks - initially they were going to be inlaid into the CP, but after seeing them, I think I will make a surround out of mahogany for the sticks to "set" into, this won't take but 20 minutes, I already have my (4) surround options cut and finished, just need to lay them out and see which best compliment the sticks. Depending on if I go with a 26" or 32" LCD or a 29" CRT will determine which bezel design I go with.

To note, it is a multi-use piece, the CP detaches via (8) screws underneath and a spare square piece can attach and it serves as a decorative card, board game, or puzzle table. It is on casters, so is fully portable and can be displayed as an attractive gaming station, or unique table.

Love the craftsman ship allways wanted to do some thing like this with the nes, like an ultimate players choice arcade with nes advatages. Look forward to more up dates, and keep up the great work.

Hate to send you back to the design phase, Mj, but you forgot to add a place to put your quarters and claim 'nexties'.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
