i just got the PS1 verson of Doom, i really really want to play it but i can't find the time because my fiancee ALWAYS "needs to go to the store", and when we get back she wants to watch tv. IM PUTTING MY FOOTDOWN AND SLAYING HORDES OF DEMON TONIGHT!!!

Separate dedicated gaming tv

Seriously, this. You can get a TV good enough for PS1 at Goodwill for $25 or less. There's no reason for you to fight over your one TV set.

The recent Transformers games like Fall of Cybertron have transformers who can transform into jets and fly at will

If you count gliding, there's Batman Arkham City. If you get skilled with the glide mechanic, you can explore the city without your feet every touching the ground. Ironic that Bats does flying better than Supes.

I believe you can fly around in the Peter Pan level of Kingdom Hearts, as well as the Clock Tower battle.

Does Zone of the Enders 2 count? I think you can always fly, but you're in a mech suit

The first one is a very oft-overlooked RPG and SNES title. I had a surprising amount of fun with it.

Me too! I love The 7th Saga.

Check out the sequel, Mystic Ark. It was only released in Japan, but there is an English ROM.

The third game, which I just discovered, is called Mystic Ark: Maboroshi Gekijo. I can find very little info on it.

Is the CD with the Kirby dream collection any good?

Yes. If you're into the Kirby series, it's great. Plus for the cost of Dream Land 3, you get Dream Lands 1,2,&3, Adventure, Super Star, and Kirby 64.

Plus it has challenges, and comes w/ a neat artwork book and soundtrack.
