nintend's snes pal power cord outputs AC.
super famicom is rated for DC.

super fx games could be having problems due to higher power draw than basic carts.
I don't think he said that he was using the official SNES power supply, just that he was using a European one. If it's a third party PSU there's the possibility that it's not providing enough amperage to power up the SNES and SuperFX cart without issues.
Even third party would still be NOT designed or intended in any way for Super Famicom. Just because something appears to work, doesn't mean it's a good idea or offer enough for full power usage scenarios.

its possible that it could be that.

But on mine I am using all original parts.

And I have that one green line.

I've tried my snes on two lcd tvs to the same effect.

I blame old tech on new.

I didn't mean voltage. Nintendo of Europe redesigned the SNES to expect alternating current power input.

Rather than direct current that American, Japanese, and Korean SNES all used.

Tried a voltage converter and it now works fine, probably should've done that in the first place...
