Good point. If the disenfranchised non-voters would actually just vote for 3rd parties, we might be able to get out of this two-party rut we have been in for so long.o.pwuaioc wrote: Or vote for a third party candidate if one catches your eye.
As it stands, I always vote the lesser of two evils because the job is so important, but I would love viable 3rd and 4th party candidates (or more). I include a 4th at least because I think it's easy to end up splitting a voter pool, in which case the 3rd party candidate helps the opposing candidate that they are most clearly different from, like when Ralph Nader pulled away votes from Al Gore, or when Ross Perot pulled away votes from George Bush Sr.

You gentlemen make a good point about voting for third party candidates. I'll have to do a bit more research to see who's out there, as I haven't really been following anyone but the main two parties.

I can't help but look at countries with more than two viable political parties and see the two-party system as the lesser of two evils.J T wrote:Good point. Then again, I see democracy as the lesser of two evils (democracy vs. any other form of government).

I like Barack Obama a little better. There is something about Mitt Romney I just don't like. He seems like he always has a smirk on his face. I did watch most of the last few debates and I felt like Barack Obama was more efficient.
Still undecided though.

How can anyone still be undecided at this point? This has been going on for TWO YEARS. PICK ONE!
And remember that there are always plenty of viable 3rd Party options*:

*Note: This may or may not be one of them.
