Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Ok, finally got rid of all the incompatibility problems in Silent Hill 2's PC version, but...
How do I alter between across and downward swing with the plank?...
Downward swing is much more effective, especially when enemies are down. I don't remember having any trouble doing this on Playstation. Yet, on PC swinging across or downward seem to be random. Unless I'm missing something...
Oh yeah, seems on Playstation you have to push X harder to do the downward swing. Well, that's not an option with a keyboard... lol
EDIT Found it. A fast tap on the action button makes you swing downward. Holding the button longer will make you swing across. Guess it's just a matter of time before I find out how to exactly stomp their heads for the final blow. Still not sure how to do that. This game sure is something. At least the PC version. But I'm determined to play this version. Even if it gives me a heart attack... lol

Smile: This happened yesterday, but still makes me smile. There's a 50's style diner that makes some awesome southern style burgers called Andy's. Check one out if you're in the South.
Anywho, while paying for my order the cashier noticed I carry a few $2.00 bills. "Aren't those supposed to be bad luck?" she asked. I responded with "They're lucky for me". She asked to see one, and then asked what else I had in my wallet. For some reason I always carry two dollar bills, a Canadian Five (it has kids playing hockey on it, awesome), and a Ten Thousand Lire note.
She and I talked about work, travel, where we've been, where we want to go. Really cute and intelligent college woman working at a restaurant for extra cash. Got to love a woman like that. When my order was ready and our discussion was over she casually slipped me her number and said "something for your wallet". This doesn't happen to single Luke.
Frown: Toilet handle in the master bath broke clean off yesterday. It's usually an easy fix, but there was a screw attached to the level that had been stripped so I couldn't remove the handle and lever. So I thought. The washer, bolt, and casing for the screw were all plastic, so I melted them. After some stink and smoke, I was able to install the new handle and lever. Still, took me twice the time as usual.
