If you want to place a proper tag on Marvel's The Avengers, it would be "General Audience Action Summer Blockbuster".

A kids movie is targeted solely towards kids. Example: Disney's TINKER BELL AND THE LOST TREASURE is a kids movie. Disney's ALADDIN isn't.
Yeah, I'd be fine with sticking Avengers in the same audience category as Aladdin. Kid appropriate =/= for kids specifically.

Terminator 3

I can't believe it's not Michael Bay!

It's not so awful that it is good, it's just so awful. I admit to giggling at "I lied", but most of the jabs and references are terrible (The my so life girl while using a UPC Scanner says "I hate machines!" ho ho).

Arnold does well being Arnold, and the hot chick terminator does well at being hot. Not much else makes sense. Every character is void of a brain, and the robots processors need to be replaced. The new terminator can identify your dna with a taste, can turn a finger into a lock picking device, but doesn't look around corners and never uses her scanning equipment to scan what she is looking for.

I remember watching this in the theater only because it was supposedly Arnie's last movie. Well, that and because I LOVE THE TERMINATOR and T2. Yes, those two both have some silly moments, but not everyone in those movies are oblivious to common sense. Mindless action is fine, a mindless movie isn't.

Dammit. For a second I thought the movie featured Kurt Russell, not Ken Russell.

There you go. And let's face it, who doesn't like Walken being Walken?

Kurt Russell was raped by Christmas Critters after passing through a portal into the imagination that was kind of like that movie he was in. So he won't be in any more films.

80% of time I would rank them the same, but sometimes I really fall back in love with THE TERMINATOR. T2 is far more entertaining and simply "bigger", but sometimes I prefer the grit and dark tone of the original. I appreciate the fact that the original film is so rough around the edges.

Switch T3 with TS and I'd agree. TS may not have been a traditional Terminator action-flick, but it still had a decent story and decent acting in it. T3 is nothing more than a bunch of cool-looking action scenes strung together.

I liked T1 the best. It may have had the lowest budget and smallest scale, but for some reason that actually increases the charm for me. I liked the original Mad Max more than the second one too, for the same reason.

I got to see Kristanna Loken at the first Austin Comic Con a couple years ago. She's taller than I thought, and absolutely gorgeous in real life. I mean she's a god damned beautiful woman! Her movies do not do her justice. She had lost some weight at the Con. I think she looks better in T3, but regardless - a very pretty lady.

I downloaded The Amazing Black Crotched Jelly Wearing Spider-man. Some thoughts:

Please don't change "With great power comes great responsibility." We will NEVER see a remade Star Wars movie with the phrase 'I pray the all encompassing holy spirit is with all of us while we attack.' YOU DONT CHANGE ICONIC SAYINGS.

Suit: still crap. Oakley lenses - come on. Jellies. COME ON. LA Gear Light Up Wristband webshooters: COME. ON. No belt: COME ON

Lizard: Wow. No snout. Awful.

Please don't put more emphasis on Peter's childhood. He's not chosen. He's not some experiment by his father. He's not clouded in mystery. He's a super smart kid who happens to get bitten by a spider that's been irradiated/mutated.

No JJ Jameson. 'Nuff said.

Somehow this Spidey STILL doesn't know how to keep is god damned mask on. This was one of my biggest gripes with McGuire-Spideys. KEEP THE MASK ON PETER.

Other than that, I do think that JohnRalphio did a pretty decent job as Spidey. I liked his snarky-ness, and his wit. McGuire could not do that. He nailed Peter, but not Spider-man. So yes, JohnRalphio did a decent job there. I did like the web slinging, and the fighting technique he had, it seemed more organic and instinctive, which was cool. Also, I do like Martin effing Sheen as Uncle Ben. That was nice. Sally Field as May - pass. Please bring back the May from the McGuire movies. And as much as I love/lust Emma Stone... c'mon, Mary Jane - gotta have MJ.

I most likely won't buy the BluRay when it comes out, but I will admit it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. They just did some stuff that was odd.
