You would have to mod your console to get rid of the cartridge tabs. It's a bit harder to do than an SNES that you can tweak them off with a pair of pliers. Here's a guide how to mod the N64: http://guidesarchive.ign.com/guides/n64 ... ation.html

Alternatively you can take apart the cart, and replace the back of the shell with a US cart from like a cheap sports game or the like.

No reason to mod the console though when adapters are cheap and plentiful.

Yeah, it's much more complicated to adapt games when you have a PAL N64 =(
