^^^^^ smash bros for the n64 is going for about $40 right now... if you already have it you might want to consider selling for a nice profit.

Sunset Riders
Knights of the Round
Ogre Battle

All for $45 delivered!

I did well today, although more from a re-sell perspective than from a "score!!!" perspective that 8bit just pulled off (you lucky bastard!).

Got all this stuff for $85:

I needed Majora's Mask, Batman Returns, X-Men, SMB Deluxe and the coloured N64 controllers and mem card. I'd say I did well today. :)

So this is my group of video game items I've found over the last month and a half or so (since the end of August that's for sure). I tried posting a pic twice but there was that whole issue of posting pics as an attachment not working.....hopefully it does now.

Success! Now the summary of each item:

Game Boy Pocket (clear) - Bought this from a guy on Craigslist whom I had previously bought a game from before. Screen has scratches on it, and in fact I was told it didn't work. That didn't matter to me, because I wanted to start a collection of see-thru handhelds, and it didn't really matter if it worked or not. Well....it does. I actually like the screen (better resolution, bigger size, which shocked me). Cost = $5
PS - no battery cover.....no big deal for me though.

Tetris 2 (Game Boy) - My first ever find at a Salvation Army. Unlike Goodwill, I had NO success finding any video game stuff at Salvation Army, until the time I came in and found this game. Also there was some Mickey Mouse game for the Game Boy, which I didn't get. There were also Genesis games there, including Sonic 2, and that 6 Pak collection. Saw this one and thought "What the hell?" and got it. Cost = $1.49
PS - Apparently this version is a Super Game Boy version, which it wasn't initially released as. Strange indeed...

Tetris DX (Game Boy Color) - Not really a "find" persay, but.....I did find it for a good price at Amazon. Great game too. Cost = $5.59 (shipping included)

Baseball (NES) - Another "black box" game, and in the words of Pat the NES Punk....probably the worst. Oh well, I wanted it anyway for my "black box" collection. This was found at Goodwill in a small stack of NES games that ironically included a better baseball game that I didn't get (Bases Loaded 2 I think). Cost = $2.99

Goonies II (NES) - Probably the biggest surprise for me. Went to the Goodwill in San Bernardino....they had a big stack of NES games.....mostly stuff like Lunar Pool, Star Voyager, Rush N Attack, Kung Fu with a ripped up label, Golf, etc. And this one stood out because I heard it was underrated. I decided not to get it at first unless I tried it via emulator. Tried it out.....actually like it a lot. A week later I went back hoping it was still there....and it was. So I got it. A nice adventure game that I enjoyed playing (I beat it a few days ago). Cost = $3.99

Star Fox (SNES) - Another Craigslist purchase. I bought from a guy who was selling off his duplicate games he had. I even inquired about other SNES games I might buy from him later on but I decided not to. I later find out that he has even more stuff when I inquire about other items that are probably.....well you'll see....as for the game....it's decent.....not as good as Starfox 64 though. Cost = $4

Life Force (NES) - I email the person selling the game if he/she still had it....turns out it's the same guy that sold me the Star Fox game a couple of weeks earlier. Another duplicate he was trying to sell....so I bought it from him. Life Force = hard as shit. I can't beat it without "the code". Still good though. Cost = $5

Star Fox (SNES) and TMNT (NES) manuals = The guy I was talking to about Life Force also had some spare manuals. So I bought these for my collection (some he bought in a lot of manuals from Ebay, others he found in a box, I think these were the ones that he found). Nice to have them, and in the case of the TMNT, nice to have one again. Cost = $2

Dr. Mario 64 (N64) - Another Craigslist purchase, and at past 8:30 in the morning no less. My parents were on vacation so I had to take my brothers to school on the Monday my parents got back. So after taking my brothers to school I drove to the house of the person that had this game. Nice to have the game that basically rekindled my love for N64 multiplayer, and the one that jumpstarted my love for the Dr. Mario franchise. Cost = $8

Doom (SNES) - My most recent one, which was done this past weekend, also via Craigslist. A guy and his wife were selling SNES games....like 3 or 4 of them, all of which I had already except for Doom, and the price was right, so I met up with the guy, got the game, and found out that he almost thought about selling a complete in box copy of Snow Bros for the NES, but then his wife said, "no way".....so he's not. Anyway the game.....well I know it's not "great" but, it is interesting to see what the SNES was capable of with this game. I just wish it had a save function of sorts (even a password, jeez, can't even get THAT here? I guess most of the memory went to that FX2 chip). Cost = $5
PS - My first SNES "red" cart. Now all I need is "Maximum Carnage" and I'll have all the colored SNES carts, licensed of course (skipping over repo carts and Super Noah's Ark 3D). Oh yeah and I gotta make sure when I get "Maximum Carnage" it's a red cart (apparently there's a good amount of regular grey carts of the game too).

Whew. Sorry this took long. Guess that's what happens when I have video game finds spread over a good length of time.

I was about to take the plunge and buy from ebay, but took a stroll down to my local pwn shop down the street from my job. I was really on the lookout for Witcher 2, but foundTES : Morrowind and Thief, and Ninja Gaiden all CIB for oXbox for $10. I can't complain on price at all even tho TES is a Platinum Hits version and no map, but i think i did good considering a picked up 9 Nintendo Power magazines (issues from 215-224)from ebay today for $1.75 and $5 shipping.
