What's the most you've ever spent on one video game?

I think I paid about $150.00 for Hyper Duel on the Saturn, and Vampire Chronicle for matching service on Dreamcast. Yeah, I overpaid on the Vampire Chronicle, but oh well, Hyper Duel was well worth it tho.

I spent about $100 on Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence Limited Edition for the PS2 and about $85 for King of Fighters 98 for the Neo Geo AES.

160 for halo reach legendary edition. I was nostalgic of bungie's games, I played them many years after they came out but they were the first m games I owned. I loved the games and the statue was cool so I bought it.

Off the shelf retail, $75 Lunar Silver Star Story for Playstation, and then about ten years later sold it for..... $75.

As far as used games, $35 for a loose Ogre Battle 64 cart. Still have that. In hindsight could have just waited until it came out for the Virtual Console for $10, but who knew. Cool to have the game of course, but really just wanted to play it more than "collect" it.

When you consider the whole package, and excluding subscriptions to online services, I'd probably say Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 for the Gamecube. I bought the Gamecube ASCII keyboard and had it imported from Japan. I forgot what it retailed for, but the game was 50, and the keyboard might've been 125?

I'm a little surprised that more folks aren't mentioning Neo Geo titles as one of their most expensive purchases.

Perhaps all of the old Neo Geo games are owned by investment bankers instead of folks on this site?

I have aes stuff but the most i paid was 39.99 for a jp fatal fury special for foxhounds b-day the rest of my aes stuff came as a lump on craigs list for 18 games that broke down to less than 20.each.

My gf paid about $150 for my Earthbound cart on my birthday last year. But the most I've personally paid for a game was probably the $70 I dropped on the Skyward Sword bundle when it first came out.
