Wait, pack it up? I haven't even gotten around to buying one yet!

I'm pretty sure I'll never need to use my Wii again once I get a Wii U. On the other hand I get to use my Gamecube. I prefer it that way anyways, Gamecube>Wii imo.
The system will be backward compatible with Wii, and Wii U games can support compatibility with Wii peripherals, such as the Wii Remote Plus and the Nunchuk. It will not be backward compatible with Nintendo GameCube discs or peripherals

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I recently softmodded my Wii, so it's not going anywhere.

Too many great games to ever even think about packing up my Wii.

In my game room's entertainment center, because of their smaller size, the GameCube and Wii share the same squared-off shelf. I'm so far behind on this system, even my Skyward Sword Collector's Edition is still sealed.

Not getting a Wii U any time soon, but I may still pack up my Wii and only bring it out for Taiko no Tatsujin.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is forever the reason I hold onto my otherwise barely used Wii. As for Wii U, zero interest.

I'm getting a Wii U on launch day and the Wii won't just be packed up, it's being sold to my girlfriend's brother.

As for what games I'll miss... None. The Wii U is backwards compatible and I never play on the Wii anyways... It's my partner's technically and I don't really like any of her games other than Skyward Sword.

The only thing I'll be doing with my Wii is moving it to a different tv set. In the spirit of the topic though, here's a quick cheater's top "5":

Sonic Colors
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
Main Mario series, including Galaxy 1 and 2 and New Super Mario Bros.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Zelda series

I loved Twilight Princess, even though I consider it more of a gamecube game than wii. There's also Skyward Sword, which I actually haven't played yet, but I think its safe to assume I'll like it.

Like others though, I still have a lot of catching up to do on the wii.

Ditto. And I'll probably keep using my Wii for Wii games since my saves and Mii are on it. Unless of course those are transferable.
