Either that or an Atari 5200 or original model CD-I.
The troll is strong with these two.

If you take only one system, take the DS. Both the GBA and DS had very strong libraries, and the DS can play both (I'm assuming you're not talking about a DSi here).

An original 60 GB PS3 can also pack a lot of gameplay into one easily carried unit.

Come on, everyone knows that a Genesis with Sega CD and 32X is the ultimate take-anywhere system.

Seriously though, personally, I am pretty happy traveling with my GBA SP. Granted, the only other portables I have are an original GBA and a Game Gear, but I think the GBA SP still best fits that niche of being really small and portable while having access to a huge library of games, plus it has very long battery life. Another bonus is that any decent retro game store will have Game Boy games, so you can pick up new games while on your trip, if you so desire.
My games for sale: Racketboy, Amazon, eBay
My systems: NES, Nintendo 64, GameCube (Game Boy Player), Wii / Game & Watch: Ball, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP (x2), Nintendo DSi / Genesis (Sega CD, 32X), Saturn / Game Gear / PlayStation, PlayStation 2 / Xbox / Mac (Windows PC) / iPhone, iPad

i agree i have a 32 gb memory card in a custom firmware psp and you can play almost every game system via emulators up to ps1, and all the psp games. Seriously i think a hacked psp is capable of of playing the most RPGs of any console (no a PC is not a console). also the fact that you don't have to bring any carts or disks at all with you that could get lost or damaged is a huge benefit, and if you have a psp slim or higher and get the extended life sony battery your looking at like 10 hours + of play time so basically you can fly anywhere in the world and not worry about battery life.
so bottom line is your psp can play all the other systems you mentioned except for the 3ds games so probably just bring your psp and 3ds and you are set for 3 lifetimes.

Bring a Jaguar CD, spend the whole trip trying to get it to work.

I second this. Bring these three and you will have access to all the portable games in your collection.
