Actually, I just borrowed that hoodie from my divorced brother-in-law (however you phrase that) while I was in Portland. Funny enough, it's actually from Hollister. :lol:

I've never been to Japan, unfortunately, but I'm STRONGLY considering entering the JET program and teaching English over there for awhile.

Interestingly though, the shirt I'm wearing under it actually does hail from a Japanese mail-order service.

Man, it looks eerily similar.

I have some friends who have done JET. I did the stupid thing, and went to teach English for a private company. (Which is awful, and I can't recommend enough NOT going with a private English conversation school.)
One of the guys who went with JET was put in Aomori (the northernmost prefecture of the main island of Honshu) and burned out within a year like I did. He said it was too rural for him, but he opted to go back to Maine afterward. (MAINE!)
ALTs (Assistant Language Teachers) seem to get the best compromise in benefits, work environments, and freedom, though. You'll make bank regardless (especially with the weak dollar) but I'd look into ALT positions before you commit to JET.
