Saturn help!

Post by drinkwindexx »

Hello internet!

I just plugged in my modchip last night and booted up my saturn and it is bring up my burnt CD-Rs as well as my Original games up as an audio CD. I've triple checked all my connections and they seem fine.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The saturn was working before. However I bought the modchip out of frustration because I could never get the swap trick right. :?

Did it plug in smoothly or was it hard pluggin into the slot?
You may need to file down the edges of the plug.

Also, are you doing the A+B method?

Yeah, I used the A+B method before. So i soldered to the 14th pin today and i am able to play my originals. My burnt games are still coming up as an audio CD so i'm thinking i'm burning them wrong :?

One lesson I leared, after wasting countless CDs, is to make sure your image works. I use an emulator to check before I burn. Even if the game doesn't run smoothly, if you can boot it in the emulator you know it works before you burn it. So if it doesn't work on your Saturn after that, you know you burned it wrong.

That is a good tip. As I'm gonna mod soon, I gotta keep that in mind~
