I found this cool looking Dreamcast for $35 and I was wondering if anybody knows anything about it i did a bit of research but didn't find much, the top cover is Clear Black and the bottom is white, what was interesting was that the bottom front of my regular DC says "Compatible with windows CE" while this one has "Designed for Windows CE", the console also came with a clear black control with the words "Millennium 2000" on the front. I was wondering if this was rare or if a price range is available, I cant be disappointed since I gone to love how I can see the disc spinning and the power light going through it. \
You can read a bit about the controller here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39764 I just got one myself, as for the console, it is most likely a shell swap, the controller was released individually without a matching console (see thread above). The fact that they match is a coincidence most likely.
i was looking for shells awhile back and couldn't seem to find any. a quick search on ebay and they're asking 100 bucks on the first page i scanned. really???
If it's an NTSC-U Dreamcast, I can say with almost complete certainty that it's a shell swap. It's most likely a shell swap regardless of the region, though. Kinda cool that the seller matched it with a Millennium 2000 controller; as long as it wasn't meant to deceive, that is.

Should be as easy as undoing some screws on the bottom and popping the top of the case off, then the rest in reverse.
i figured, just wondered if there were any potential snags anyone has run into. i'd honestly like to have the white lid, black top and white bottom, but i wonder how easy it is to swap the lids...
As long as you pay attention and keep track of where screws go it is easy. Well, having 3 hands for coordinating the lid and spring could make that part a bit easier.
