Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
First two episodes of Supernatural's eight season have been surprisingly good. They got a the co-creator of Being Human as the new show runner and he's off to a good start. This last episode was really dark. The Winchesters seem a bit more jaded this season. They are still good guys, but they've lost so much of the cliche qualities you expect in heroes. The show has clearly hardened them more and more each season. I like it. The show still has some gas in its tank, and still manages to get a few laughs out of me even in the midst of a dark story line
Once Upon a Time has been firing on all cylinders with its second season. It's becoming as much fun for me to watch as Fables was for me to read. Totally different story it's telling, but it's still got the qualities that make Fables appealing. We'll probably never see it get quite as dark as Fables can sometimes be though, which is expected for a network show. I love the visual aspect of this show. I love the monsters and special effects, and I was listening to the girl at my local comic shop telling a customer how much she loves the costumes and sets on that show and I agree with her, especially as someone with a theater background.
Walking Dead reached a new milestone for zombies killed last night I think. Holy crap! They were dropping like flies. Fun premiere.
Fringe is much more serialized with its storytelling this season, and has jumped more fully then ever into the sci fi aspect. Awesome.
Young Justice has gotten more mature and dark this season. Love it. No Justice League cameos so far this season, and the show still remains interesting
Arrow's premiere got some good reviews, so I have to watch it on my DVR
Currently watching Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn on Conan O'Brien. Fucking awesome!

Recently finished Jem on NetFlix.

With the direction our media is going I think a Presidential Arm Wrestling match is in order. The VP match is already decided as Ryan has already gone over the top, red hat and all.BoringSupreez wrote:Gonna watch the debate tonight on CBS.

That debate was actually pretty fun to watch (as debates go). Strong moments from each candidate, decent audience questions, and ace moderating.

It was more of an actual debate than anything we've seen so far.dsheinem wrote:That debate was actually pretty fun to watch (as debates go). Strong moments from each candidate, decent audience questions, and ace moderating.

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
I convinced myself I wasn't going to get into any more new shows but I watched the first two episodes of Last Resort and it's pretty good. The action packed pilot episode just grabbed me by the throat and said, "you will watch this show bitch!" The show really starts with a bang. The show has a very interesting premise too. So there's one more show to add to my already too long list of shows to keep up with
