What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I took too long on one of my ten-minute breaks (it lasted about 30 minutes) and apparently now I'm gonna start getting reprimanded. I fucking hate Food Lion. They work me like a fucking slave. I have to do ALL the cart retrieval if I want to go on my breaks or home, and even then they keep harassing me when they need bagging assistance, a mess cleaned up, more bags at the register or ice in the inside coolers. I can't wait until I can tell them to go to hell.

Frown: NiGHTS into Dreams HD Remix has a lot of content missing for random reasons. Especially the Christmas NiGHTS portion.

Smile: I write for a separate, small video game blog. On a lark I took a look at some of the metrics that people visiting the site have generated recently. One of the top search terms that have led people to the site is "Capcom XXX". I wonder about the demographic I am trying to reach. Maybe I am doing it wrong?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Super  :

All my traffic court stuff is done and a huge amount of stress is lifted off my shoulders. Got my 4pt careless dropped in favor of 2pt defective vehicle. I'll also be all caught up in my schoolwork today. Then the rest of the week I have fall break with the house to myself. 8)

I feel great.

Eh, sorta ticked: Once again an ebay seller shipped video games media mail, took 17 days to get here, by the time it hit the Fairview (Minneapolis area) hub it had completely busted open. They repackaged it and marked it as non-media, and arrived postage due. My wife not knowing to decline it - paid out of pocket in order to receive the package (thinking she was doing me a favor of course, so def. not her fault).
Notice the "repackaged" sticker placed on the box from the sort facility in Fairview Image

And once I cut the newly installed plastic ties:

I'll message the ebay seller and let them know, hopefully they'll reimburse my additional out-of-pocket shipping - but who knows how that'll go. Even w/the additional shipping, I still did "ok", but I def. wouldn't have bought it at that price.

The item was from a blockbuster close-out, mish-mash of cases, manuals and artworks. Luckily the ones I bought the lot for were mostly undamaged (one DS case and artwork I needed were punctured), all the other damaged cases I didn't care about anyways. I'll flip the excess stuff and should get most of my money back anyways, so not too upset - just will never understand why people continue to ship games (or this case paper and plastic) media mail, just causes problems more times than not. I'm pretty sure USPS has carte blanche to beat the hell out of boxes once they determine books and magazines aren't in the boxes :/

What kind of crappy ass box did they use anyway? Also, Shawn in New Port Richey eh? You sure that wasn't Casey sending stuff from 2 cities away to hide? :P

Smile: Just picked up my mail and a cute girl was walking her dog. The dog only had 3 legs, but didn't have a care in the world and was intent on saying hello, tail going a million miles an hour.

I would have chatted a bit more, but it's dark outside so I didn't want to invoke any creep factor.

My top search term is "box". "Corrugated box" (which is never written in the site) also beats the most popular videogame by a good margin. I also found stuff like "Does the US have bases in mars?" and "Pictures from inside an alien spacecraft".

The internet is a weird place.

BTW, sucks that Nights is butchered :(

Smiled - surprise work party for me. It was a going away/wedding shower. It was nice, and since Ive been in the department for almost six years, and the average employee has been here for around two, I know everyone and the party was about ten times the size they normally are.

Ticked - Ate so much I feel sick.
