Yes, the fmv isn't the best, but the game does make you think and take notes, which I enjoy. Sherlock also does a great job of making you feel like you are solving an actual mystery. So if you don't mind loading times, have an hour or two and really like using your noggin, check Sherlock on the Sega CD out.
There were some good and really challenging Sherlock Holmes games released on the PC during 2003-2008 that are worth checking out. This was one of them

Puzzles where you had to inspect and analyze paintings in an art gallery for clues and things like that if I recall correctly.

Now that I finally got my S-Video cable for the Gamecube, I also tried it on the SNES, and what a difference it makes. I fired up some shmup classics --

Also completed Firepower 2000 once again (SW IV for our European friends)

Finished up with some Medal of Honor Rising Sun

Finished Silent Hill 4 the day before yesterday (or something like that) and I started on Origins last night. I can see why people say it's boring, it kinda just throws you right into the game without much of a story, but at the same time at this point anyone who has played Silent Hill kind of already knows what's going on anyway. I haven't played enough to really form an opinion though, I've only looped around the hospital once and saved, then took a break.

I did the exact same thing, except I never came back from that break.

Game just did not hold my interest at all, and I immediately didn't care for the fact that the player has control over the otherworld switching.

The Adventures of Lolo 2. I find myself constantly being annoyed with the game throwing in new rules out of nowhere which make the puzzles impossible without a guide. How would you know first time playing that to clear a room you have to kill an enemy and then put a block over their re-spawn area so that they would spawn somewhere else? Stuff like this makes the game far less enjoyable than the first.

Haha I can understand where you're coming from but I'm willing to give it more of a chance than that. I mean yeah there doesn't seem to be anything spectacular about it but it's not terrible either, at least not yet.

I couldn't wait for Football Manager 2013, so I got 2012 on my smart phone, and man it's addictive. Did a whole season in a weekend! It's a bit less detailed than the PC version, but it benefits from this as you can play a few games on the toilet rather than pissing about in conferences or talking to individual players. Got my hometown team Dover out of the Blue Sq. South (effectively the 6th division) by winning the league, so I think it's a bit easier than the PC version too.
Kinda ruined my weekend with Goldeneye 007 I had planned though lol
Currently playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist

After finishing a bunch of short games recently (Maniac Mansion, Day fo the Tentacle, Monkey Island: Special Edition & MegaMan: Powered Up), I've decided to get some bigger ones out of the way next - so I've restarted Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City on Wii, as well as continuing the oh-god-when-will-it-end Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy (officially the worst named game ever).

Sleeping Dogs

Not really feeling the combat so far. It's similar to the Batman games but not as smooth or fluid

I finished Code of Princess. It was pretty meh. The whole game boils down to stats and grinding, not skill like Guardian Heroes. It's a very shallow game. I also hate that some of the equipment can only be acquired in multi-player versus mode ranked matches. Lame. I played this game for a beat 'em up, not a one on one competitive Street Fighter game
