It is for the Wii U Deluxe Bundle. $400 for your choice of system, one game and either the new pro controller or a Wiimote+. Pretty good deal since that would run you $460 separately I believe. I'll grab the black system, Mario Bros U and the pro controller.

Hmm. Actually I guess it might not be the bundle they are doing in store but just the console.
Regardless, am I going to have to camp for it on release date? Ugh..

I don't know if it is going to be like a Wii thing all over again. My daughter is old enough now though that she can probably start playing video games so I figure I'll get one as a family x-mas present. Plus I like Nintendo consoles myself.

I'm not sure if people will line up early for pre-orders but it is being done at the lay-away and I do not think that lay-away opens at Walmart until like 8am but the store opens at 5am so I might go early and if there is no line I'll just browse and mess around at Walmart until I can get a pre-order.

I got my both my GCN and Wii on launch day at Meijer of all places. For the GCN I had to wait in a line of chairs in the video game aisle until release, and for the Wii, they just gave us little 'reserve' slips to bring up to the clerk once the console finally came out. We were free to do whatever we wanted until then. It was very convenient.

I don't plan on getting a Wii-U at launch, but that's a definite option I'd recommend to those of you who do. Not sure how they'll be handling this, but worst comes to worst - you just have to wait inside the store for a few hours.

So New Super Mario Bros Wii U will not output in 1080p :?:

http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entert ... -not-1080p
Mario's first venture on a high-def console will not be taking the console's capabilities to the limit.

The official website for the launch title New Super Mario Bros U used to boast, "Experience Mario like never before... in full 1080p HD, only on the Wii U console!"

However, as fans were quick to point out, that suddenly changed without explanation. The site now only contains the phrase, "Experience Mario like never before... in high definition, only on the Wii U console!"

It has been reported that almost all of the Wii U's launch titles will only deliver 720p HD graphics, an admittedly outdated resolution in a world where every content provider wants to offer the best experience possible.

The Wii U will launch in the US on November 18. At $250, the basic version of the console will be the most expensive Nintendo home console ever, but it will still be cheaper than the first-day prices of the Xbox 360 or PS3.

There is also a $300 version of the Wii U that comes bundled with more storage space and a copy of the game Nintendo Land.

I'm still not convined that a side-scrolling Mario needs to be in anything better than 480p. He doesn't exactly require complex facial animations and bump mapping to get the skin right.

Every new thing I've heard about it so far has made me want it even less.

We are at a point with the technology that I no longer care about graphics or resolution or what have you. It is all 'good enough' now. Especially when it comes to something like Mario I can't see it really mattering. Most games where it might matter get played on my PC anyhow.
