I'd give a nice light "Hey, don't mean to bug ya, but did you manage to toss that stuff in a box? I'd be happy to come by and pick it up myself if you want to get it out of your way if that will help."

I have a "friends only" Livejournal and only one friend on my list.
And I bet you still have more views than me :P

I'm seriously disappointed in the stores around here. Food Lion has next to nothing when it comes to Halloween themed foods. Rite-Aid is already clearing out their Halloween stuff, and the local Wal-Marts selection is abysmal. I think I need to move.
If you're looking for baked goods, just buy some orange, black, purple, and green food dye and make your own. Cheaper and tastier.

Psst, I get more hits by people looking for boxes than all my gaming articles put together and it was a joke

Well, at least I only have 6 more days of it.

Surprisingly enough, I'm doubling my blog hits this year, with quite a margin. It's kind of snowballing in place, which is funny. I wonder if it would be worthwhile to get a decent site and how much hits do you need so that advertisment keeps it in place...

After a lot of business traveling you really start to pick up on all the terminology.

Business class: It's a coach ticket with a discount because you fly so often.

Luxury or Deluxe Hotel: A major chain hotel with wi-fi that is near an Olive Garden, Carrabba's or Hooters.

Limousine: A Lincoln Town Car.

Represent the company with integrity: If a client offers to take you to a strip club, go. You're only there to make them happy anyway.

Expense credit card: Max that fucker out. Finance doesn't care if you do and not allocating your expense actually makes more work for them.

Rental Car: You're not getting the car you reserved and it is going to smell funny.

"Meeting at 10am": Prepare for a 7am call to tell you the meeting has been rescheduled for 8am.

Keep all receipts: Screw that. Call the bank and ask for a statement.

...and most importantly always try to book a flight that comes in on a Thursday night, giving you an excuse to get a free paid Friday off.

Additional corrolaries:

If you're renting a truck or a van because you need to move people or things, reserve the size you need and cross your fingers you get the right one.

If you're not picky and just need wheels in a city near a large airport, reserve a compact or subcompact car. You're very likely to get bumped up to a medium sized car anyway due to availability, so you might as well pay the cheaper price.

Our company still uses travel agents. It would be so much more cost effective to simply book our own trips, but apparently going to kayak.com is too much of a hassle.

How is it that I can find something on ebay that I'm interested in with no bids, and then 5 minutes after I put it on my watch list, it gets like 3 bids on it?
